Delhi Capitals retained Karun Nair at ₹50 lakh for IPL 2026, his base price and the same fee he earned in 2025. Across thirteen IPL seasons his contracts add up to roughly ₹29 crore before tax. That first paragraph is the whole earnings picture, and it is why the ₹50–55 crore net worth this page used to publish has been removed. A player whose gross career IPL income is ₹29 crore, who has held a BCCI central contract for one season, and who has no disclosed endorsement portfolio cannot plausibly be worth nearly twice his lifetime IPL earnings after tax. What is Karun Nair’s net worth in 2026?

There is no credible estimate, and this page no longer gives one. Until this revision it carried three different figures that could not all be right: ₹50–55 crore in the opening line and again under this heading, “₹45 crore and ₹60 crore” in the social-media table, and about ₹55 crore in the page’s own search-result description. Three numbers, no method, no source.

Here is what can actually be documented, and it is the reason the estimate failed:

Two things are worth reading off that table. The first is that ₹16.8 crore of the ₹29 crore — well over half his IPL career earnings — came from three seasons at Kings XI Punjab between 2018 and 2020, on the strength of a triple century scored in 2016. The second is how far he fell: from ₹5.6 crore a season to unsold in two auctions, and back only at his ₹30 lakh base price, bought for ₹50 lakh.

The scale is worth making concrete. Every player among the 32 highest-paid IPL players of 2026 earned ₹13 crore or more — twenty-six times Nair’s fee. His own Delhi Capitals captain, Axar Patel, is on ₹16.5 crore, thirty-three times what the man batting alongside him is paid. Assets, endorsements and investments

Nothing about Karun Nair’s assets or endorsements is on the public record, and this section previously filled that gap with invention. It claimed a luxury apartment in Bangalore and “a collection of luxury cars, including models from BMW and Audi”, with nothing behind either claim. It also stated as fact that he has been “associated with major sporting brands like Kookaburra”. No announcement of such a deal exists. All of it has been removed.

One further removal is worth naming.
