No credible outlet has published a verified net worth for Ben Duckett. The $3 million to $4 million this page used to give had no source. What can be documented for 2026 is a £200,000 salary from Trent Rockets in The Hundred and a two-year England central contract whose value the ECB does not publish. The one big number attached to his name this year, Delhi Capitals’ ₹2 crore IPL deal, is money he chose not to earn: he pulled out days before the season to concentrate on England.
Updated 25 October 2026: rewritten after his withdrawal from IPL 2026 and his move to Trent Rockets. Facts checked against the ECB’s 2025-26 contract list, Trent Rockets, the Qatar Tribune, Gulf News and Wikipedia’s 2026 Delhi Capitals season page. An earlier version said he plays for Delhi Capitals in 2026 and is at Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred; both were out of date. Two unsourced ECB salary ranges and an unsourced net worth have been removed.
What Is Ben Duckett’s Net Worth in 2026?
There is no verified figure. He is 32, born in Farnborough on 17 October 1994, and has been a professional since 2012, but most of what he has been paid sits in contracts whose values are private.
What is on the record:
- England central contract: two-year deal running to 30 September 2027, amount not disclosed
- The Hundred 2026: £200,000 from Trent Rockets
- IPL 2026: bought by Delhi Capitals for ₹2 crore, then withdrew, so none of it was earned
- County: Nottinghamshire, his county since 2018
Why Did Ben Duckett Pull Out of IPL 2026?
Delhi Capitals bought him for his base price of ₹2 crore at the December 2025 auction, which would have been his IPL debut. In late March 2026, days before the season opened, he withdrew. He said he needed to be in the best possible place physically and mentally for England’s summer, and apologised to the franchise and its fans (Qatar Tribune). He had not passed 50 in ten innings during England’s 4-1 Ashes defeat that winter.
Withdrawing after being bought at auction carries a penalty under IPL rules, a ban from the auction and the tournament. One report puts it at two seasons (Gulf News), while other outlets say three, so the exact length is not settled.
Delhi replaced him on 23 April with the England leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed, for ₹75 lakh. Duckett’s ₹2 crore would in any case have been a long way below the ₹13 crore floor on our list of the highest-paid IPL players of 2026, which Rishabh Pant tops at ₹27 crore.
What Does Ben Duckett Earn From His ECB Contract?
The ECB’s 2025-26 list gave him one of 14 two-year central contracts, running to 30 September 2027 (ECB). The October 2026 update confirmed he is entering the second year of it (Times of Oman).
The ECB does not publish individual salaries. The previous version of this page gave his retainer as £650,000 to £900,000 in one paragraph and £300,000 to £500,000 a few lines later, with no source for either, so both have been taken out.
He has played 49 Tests, scoring 3,364 runs at 38.22 with seven hundreds, and 40 ODIs, scoring 1,628 runs at 41.74. His Test best is 182 against Ireland at Lord’s in 2023. In Rajkot in February 2024 he made 153 in the Test in which Sarfaraz Khan made his debut for India.
How Much Does Ben Duckett Earn in The Hundred?
For 2026 he moved to Trent Rockets as a pre-auction signing, on £200,000, the third-highest salary in the Rockets men’s squad behind Tim David on £350,000 and Tom Banton on £225,000 (Trent Rockets). Before that he played for Welsh Fire in 2021 and 2022, captaining them in 2021, and for Birmingham Phoenix from 2023 to 2025. The earlier version of this page put him in the Hundred’s top salary band at about £125,000 a season with no source; that line is gone.
His other franchise stints have been short: Islamabad United in the PSL (2017), Hobart Hurricanes, Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash, Nelson Mandela Bay Giants in South Africa, and Quetta Gladiators (2022). None of those fees has been published.
